Practice doors are closed between 12pm-1pm daily, phone lines are still open during this time.

How Do I Make An Appointment?

We have implemented an appointment triage system with immediate effect. You will be asked by a member of our reception team what your symptoms are and booked in for a telephone triage appointment with one of our clinicians.

Any Face to face appointments will be booked by the clinician when agreed during this triage consultation. Please ensure we have your correct contact details.


The telephone lines open at 8.00 am. blood_pressure4You can make an appointment with the Doctor or Nurse by phoning the Surgery on 0151 511 5805.

You have a right to express a preference of practitioner and we will do our best to give you an appointment with the Doctor of your choice.  Should your preferred Doctor not have a free appointment you will be offered an appointment with another GP in the practice.

We are now live with e-consult, contact your doctor online and get a reply within 48hrs, E-Consults are accessed by Practice staff Monday -Friday between 8am and 6.30pm only. Please note practice staff do not have access to econsult of a weekend or on Bank Holidays if you need advice during these times please call NHS 111.


You can also book your appointments via our Patient On Lines Services (Further to NHS England guidelines around Coronavirus this service is suspended until further notice).  You will need to create an account first by logging into once your account has been verified you will be able to book and cancel appointments on line as well as other great benefits such as ordering your prescriptions.  Go the website to find out more information.

We also have a text reminder service at the Practice to take advantage of this service please ensure your mobile contact details are correct with our Reception Team. We will be able to text you your appointment and a reminder 24hrs before the appointment and you will be able to cancel your appointment via the text service.

You will never be refused to see a Doctor if one is available. If you no longer need your appointment please let us know.

Please remember that appointments are for ONE person only. If you feel your consultation may be lengthy, ask the Receptionist for a DOUBLE APPOINTMENT when you book.

We now have appointments on Monday evenings up to 7.00pm for those whose employment makes it difficult to see their GP between 9am and 5.30 pm.

GP Extra - this is a pre bookable appointment service with a GP who will have access to your details in the Urgent Care Centre, appointments are available after 6.30pm weekdays and at weekends.  To book one of these appointments please call the surgery on 0151 5115805 and further details please see the GP Extra flyer on our home page.

You can book a routine appointment up to two weeks ahead.
